Invitation to take part in the NHS Endoscopy Insourcing Providers Usage Survey

In 2026, the JAG accreditation team is working to develop aset of standards and an assessment pathway designed exclusively for insourcingproviders of endoscopy.

JAG invites all NHS endoscopy services to take part in the ‘NHSEndoscopy Insourcing Providers Usage Survey’. This survey has been developed toimprove our understanding of how insourcing arrangements are being utilisedacross the NHS and to support future planning, service improvement andaccreditation processes.

Insourcing continues to play a significant role in helpingservices manage increasing demand and maintain timely access to endoscopyprocedures. To ensure that any future accreditation pathway for insourcingreflects the realities experienced by services, it is essential that we gatheraccurate and comprehensive information directly from providers.

We are therefore asking NHS endoscopy services, irrespectiveof size or current use of insourcing models, to complete the survey. Yourcontribution will help build a clearer national picture of current practice andwill inform ongoing work related to standards, accreditation pathways andservice development.
